International Kids Coding Challenge
At International Kids Coding Association we are all volunteers.

We dedicate our time and knowledge to give free coding classes.
​
We contact associations who look after children living in some of the most challenging areas in the world and offer them free tech education.
​
With your donations we purchase computers so that these children can attend our online courses and continue learning even after the courses have finished.

About
Our coding challenge is a unique opportunity to test your skills while making a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged children worldwide.

It's been designed by Paolo Insogna,
Principal Engineer at Platformatic and Node.js Technical Steering Committee member.
​
The goal is to create a poker game using any programming language or framework.

Card Generation: create a deck of 52 cards

Shuffling: randomize the order of cards

Dealing: deal five cards to each player

Hand Evaluation: determine the best combination in each hand

Impact

~80% of donations will be used to purchase laptops and sponsor educational initiatives
-
~15% to provide meals for the children prior to their coding lessons
-
~5% paying for insurance for our volunteer teachers conducting coding classes at Brainstorm Junior Children's Centre and other organisations.
